Career Support

Placement Assistance Policy

Version 1.0 | Effective: June 2025

Important Notice

This policy does NOT constitute a contract of employment or a guarantee of placement. Enrolment in any course on aeccore.learn implies full acceptance of this policy.

1. Preamble

1.1 aeccore.learn is a technology-enabled education platform offering specialised courses in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) technologies.

1.2 This Placement Assistance Policy defines the nature, scope, conditions, and limitations of the career-support services offered by the Platform. It must be read alongside the Terms & Conditions of Enrolment and the Course Completion Policy.

1.3 Core Principle: aeccore.learn provides Placement Assistance — meaning structured support and resources to help you prepare for and pursue employment. This is entirely distinct from a Placement Guarantee. The Platform bears no obligation to secure, promise, or guarantee employment to any student under any circumstances.

2. Definitions

  • Placement Assistance: The suite of career-support services described in Section 5 of this Policy, provided on a best-effort basis. This expressly excludes any commitment to secure employment.
  • Placement Guarantee: An assurance that a student will secure employment within a defined timeframe or salary bracket. aeccore.learn does NOT offer any Placement Guarantee.
  • Eligible Student: A learner who has satisfied all eligibility criteria outlined in Section 4 of this Policy.
  • Course Completion: Successful fulfilment of all modules, assessments, projects, and attendance requirements as defined in the relevant course curriculum.
  • Capstone Project: The final industry-applicable project required as part of course completion, demonstrating practical BIM/AEC competency.
  • Engagement Threshold: The minimum participation, activity, and responsiveness standard a student must maintain to retain eligibility for Placement Assistance.
  • Assistance Period: The defined 6-month window during which Placement Assistance is available to an Eligible Student.

3. No Placement Guarantee — Explicit Disclaimer

3.1 aeccore.learn does not guarantee placement, employment, job offers, interview calls, or any minimum compensation to any student — under any circumstances, at any point during or after the course.

3.2 Enrolment in a course that includes Placement Assistance does not create an employer-employee relationship, an agency relationship, or any obligation on the Platform to act as a recruitment or staffing agency.

3.3 The availability and outcome of Placement Assistance activities — including job referrals, portfolio reviews, and mock interviews — depends on market conditions, employer requirements, student performance, and other external factors entirely beyond the Platform's control.

3.4 No oral statement by any Platform representative, instructor, counsellor, or third party shall be construed as a modification to this disclaimer. Students must rely solely on this written Policy.

3.5 The Platform shall not be liable for any loss of income, loss of opportunity, mental distress, or any other direct, indirect, or consequential damage arising from a student's inability to secure employment.

3.6 Any student who enrols on the basis of an oral or informal guarantee of placement does so entirely at their own risk.

⚠️ WARNING: Any representation — oral, written, or implied — by any individual that aeccore.learn guarantees employment is unauthorised, void, and cannot be relied upon.

4. Eligibility for Placement Assistance

Placement Assistance is not automatic. A student must fulfil ALL of the following conditions to become eligible. Failure to meet any single criterion results in ineligibility until that criterion is satisfied.

4.1 Mandatory Completion Criteria

  • Successful completion of 100% of course modules with a minimum aggregate score of 60% across all assessments.
  • Submission and Platform approval of the Capstone Project. Rejected or incomplete submissions disqualify the student until resubmission is approved.
  • Attendance of at least 80% of all live sessions, workshops, or webinars (where applicable).
  • Completion and approval of the student's professional portfolio (minimum 3 BIM/AEC project samples as specified in the curriculum).
  • Completion of the mandatory Career Readiness Module, including resume submission, LinkedIn profile review, and mock interview participation.
  • No outstanding dues, fees, or payments to the Platform at the time of requesting Placement Assistance.
  • Active student account in good standing — not suspended, terminated, or flagged for academic dishonesty or policy violations.

4.2 Engagement Threshold

Students must also maintain the following minimum engagement standards:

  • Respond to Platform communications regarding placement activities within 72 hours.
  • Actively apply to a minimum of 5 employer opportunities shared by the Platform within the Assistance Period.
  • Attend all scheduled mock interviews, career workshops, and employer connect sessions for which the student is notified.
  • Update the Platform's placement team on the outcome of each application within 7 days of an interview or selection process result.

4.3 Grounds for Ineligibility

The following circumstances expressly disqualify a student from Placement Assistance:

  • Incomplete or abandoned course without approved leave.
  • Submission of plagiarised, AI-generated (without disclosure), or third-party-completed projects.
  • Misrepresentation of qualifications, skills, or experience to the Platform or to any prospective employer.
  • Violation of the Platform's Code of Conduct.
  • The student has already secured full-time employment and has not notified the Platform.
  • Lapse of the Assistance Period.

5. Scope of Placement Assistance Services

5.1 What Is Included

The following services are provided on a best-effort basis, subject to the student's eligibility:

A. Career Readiness Preparation: Resume/CV review and written feedback (maximum 2 revision cycles); LinkedIn profile optimisation guidance; Interview preparation: up to 2 mock technical interviews and 1 HR interview simulation; Portfolio structuring guidance and presentation coaching.

B. Project Support for Portfolio Building: Guided support in building a minimum of 3 industry-standard BIM project samples; Feedback on project quality, accuracy, and presentation from Platform instructors; Access to Platform's project templates, Revit/AutoCAD/Navisworks resources, and sample files; Mentorship sessions for project improvement (limited to course duration and 30 days post-completion).

C. Employer Network Access: Sharing of relevant job listings and opportunities from the Platform's industry network, on a non-exclusive basis; Profile forwarding to interested employers — this is a referral only and does not guarantee an interview or offer; Facilitation of employer-connect webinars and industry interaction sessions where available.

D. Soft Skills & Industry Preparation: Access to recorded sessions on professional communication, AEC industry orientation, and workplace readiness; Study resources for technical aptitude preparation relevant to BIM/AEC roles.

5.2 What Is Expressly NOT Included

⚠️ OUT OF SCOPE: The following are outside the scope of this Policy. Any expectation beyond this list is unsupported:

  • Guaranteeing, promising, or assuring a job offer, interview, or any employment outcome.
  • Negotiating salary, employment terms, or contractual conditions on the student's behalf.
  • Acting as the student's agent, legal representative, or placement agency in any capacity.
  • Providing job opportunities guaranteed to match a specific salary, location, role, or company preference.
  • Indefinite or open-ended assistance beyond the Assistance Period.
  • Reimbursement of course fees in the event the student does not secure employment.
  • Physical placement drives or on-campus recruitment events (unless explicitly advertised in the specific course offering at the time of enrolment).

6. Placement Assistance Period

6.1 Placement Assistance is available for 6 (six) months from the date a student is officially declared Eligible following fulfilment of all criteria in Section 4.

6.2 The 6-month Assistance Period is non-extendable except at the sole discretion of the Platform in extraordinary circumstances (e.g., documented medical emergency).

6.3 If a student fails to complete eligibility requirements within 12 (twelve) months of enrolment, the right to claim Placement Assistance lapses permanently.

6.4 The Assistance Period is suspended (not extended) if a student withdraws from placement activities mid-period and seeks to recommence. The unused balance resumes from the point of suspension.

6.5 The Platform reserves the right to terminate Placement Assistance immediately if the student is found to have misrepresented information, violated the Engagement Threshold, or breached any term of this Policy.

7. Student Responsibilities

Placement Assistance is a bilateral process. The student bears primary responsibility for their own career outcomes.

7.1 Academic & Skill Obligations

  • Diligently complete all coursework, modules, assignments, and projects as scheduled.
  • Continuously develop BIM/AEC technical skills throughout and beyond the course period.
  • Submit original, honest work. Plagiarism is grounds for immediate disqualification.

7.2 Career Process Obligations

  • Actively and independently pursue job opportunities beyond those shared by the Platform. The Platform's network is supplementary, not the student's sole job-search channel.
  • Maintain accurate, honest, and professional profiles on job-search platforms.
  • Notify the Platform's placement team within 7 days of accepting any job offer or securing employment.
  • Represent the Platform professionally and honestly to all prospective employers. Misrepresentation to an employer will result in immediate termination of Placement Assistance and may attract legal action.

7.3 Communication Obligations

  • Respond to all Platform communication within the 72-hour window.
  • Attend pre-scheduled placement activities or provide 24-hour advance notice of inability to attend.
  • Repeated no-shows (more than 2 in any calendar month) without prior notice constitute a breach and may result in suspension of Placement Assistance.

8. Platform Obligations

8.1 Provide all services listed in Section 5.1 to Eligible Students within a reasonable timeframe.

8.2 Maintain and grow an industry network to facilitate job referrals and employer connections.

8.3 Deliver career readiness services with reasonable quality and professionalism.

8.4 Treat all student data with confidentiality in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

8.5 Notify students of any material change to this Policy with a minimum of 30 days' advance notice.

8.6 The phrase "best-effort" means the Platform will make genuine, reasonable attempts to assist. It does not mean unlimited resources, guaranteed outcomes, or indefinite time commitment.

9. Disqualification from Placement Assistance

The Platform reserves the right to immediately suspend or permanently disqualify a student, without refund of any course fee, in the following circumstances:

  • Failure to maintain the Engagement Threshold for a continuous period of 21 days.
  • Misrepresentation of identity, qualifications, project work, or course completion status to the Platform or any employer.
  • Submission of abusive, threatening, or harassing communication to Platform staff or employer contacts.
  • Attempting to solicit opportunities from the Platform's employer network independently, bypassing the Platform, within the Assistance Period.
  • Lapse of the Assistance Period without the student having maintained eligibility.
  • Enrolment found to be fraudulent or fee payment found to be dishonoured.

10. Legal Framework

10.1 Governing Laws (India)

This Policy is governed by the laws of India. The following statutes are specifically relevant:

  • Consumer Protection Act, 2019: This Policy ensures full transparency regarding the nature of services purchased. No misleading representation of services is made or intended.

  • Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023: Governing collection, processing, and storage of student personal data including placement-related information.
  • Indian Contract Act, 1872: Enrolment implies acceptance of these terms as a binding contractual agreement.

10.2 No Misrepresentation

In compliance with Section 2(47) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Platform expressly prohibits:

  • Any claim — verbal, written, in advertisements, or on social media — that a course includes a "job guarantee," "100% placement," or similar assurance.
  • Any testimonial, brochure, or marketing material implying employment as an outcome of course completion without clear disclosure of this Policy's No-Guarantee Clause.

Any Platform representative or third-party reseller who makes such representations does so in breach of Platform policy and such representations shall have no legal effect.

10.3 Limitation of Liability

10.3.1 The Platform's total liability to any student arising from Placement Assistance shall not exceed the total course fee paid by that student.

10.3.2 The Platform shall not be liable for loss of income, missed opportunities, consequential losses, or emotional distress arising from failure to secure employment.

11. Grievance Redressal

11.1 Students who believe a service committed under Section 5.1 was not delivered may raise a formal grievance in writing to: placements@aeccore.learn. Grievances must be submitted within 30 days of the alleged failure. The Platform will acknowledge within 5 business days and provide a resolution within 21 business days.

11.2 Unresolved grievances shall first be attempted through mediation before legal proceedings. All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts at Pune, Maharashtra, India, and this policy is governed exclusively by Indian law.

12. Policy Amendments

12.1 aeccore.learn reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time. Material changes affecting currently enrolled students will be communicated via registered email at least 30 days before taking effect.
